Getting started
How do I add my first car?
Tap the + button on My Shelf. Enter details manually, pick from the offline catalog, or scan a barcode to auto-fill when a match exists.
What is Peg Hunt Mode?
Peg Hunt is an in-store duplicate checker (Pro). Scan a UPC and the app tells you immediately if you already own that car — no internet required.
How does the free tier work?
You can track up to 25 items for free. Upgrade once to Pro for unlimited items, Peg Hunt, Photo Match, Series Tracker, the widget, and more.
Troubleshooting
Barcode scanner won't open or shows a black screen
Allow Camera access in iOS Settings → Die Cast Shelf → Camera. Force-quit and reopen the app. If the issue persists, restart your device and ensure iOS is up to date.
Scan works but no catalog data appears
The catalog loads on first lookup. Not every UPC is in the offline database — specialty and older releases may need manual entry. The scanned UPC is still saved on the item.
iCloud sync isn't working
Enable iCloud sync in Settings, confirm you're signed into iCloud on the device, then restart the app as prompted. Sync uses your private iCloud account; we cannot access your data.
How do I restore Pro after reinstalling?
Open Settings → Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I export or move my collection?
Settings → Export CSV or Export JSON Backup. JSON supports restore with merge or replace. Share the file to Files, email, or cloud storage you control.
Device requirements
Die Cast Shelf requires a recent version of iOS with camera access for barcode scanning and optional photo capture. iCloud sync requires an iCloud account.
